Welcome to The Parenting Passport. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Parenting Passport website at theparentingpassport.com and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by The Parenting Passport ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
1. About the Platform
The Parenting Passport is a two-sided marketplace that connects parenting coaches ("Coaches") with parents and guardians ("Parents") seeking coaching services. The Platform serves as a directory and communication facilitator — it helps Parents discover Coaches and initiate contact.
What the Platform does:
- Hosts public Coach profiles and a searchable directory
- Provides tools for Parents to send inquiries to Coaches
- Facilitates discovery through filters, search, and recommendations
What the Platform does NOT do:
- Process payments between Coaches and Parents
- Provide parenting coaching, therapy, or professional advice
- Employ, certify, or credential Coaches
- Guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of any coaching services
- Mediate disputes between Coaches and Parents
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be capable of entering into a legally binding agreement
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Creating an Account
You may create an account using email verification or social sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update your information to keep it accurate. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
3.3 Account Security
You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
4. Coach-Specific Terms
4.1 Independent Professional Status
Coaches are independent professionals, not employees, agents, or representatives of The Parenting Passport. The Platform provides a directory listing service. No employer-employee, franchisor-franchisee, joint venture, or partnership relationship is created between The Parenting Passport and any Coach.
Coaches are solely responsible for:
- Their own business operations, taxes, and legal compliance
- Setting their own rates, schedules, and service terms
- Maintaining applicable insurance coverage
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction
4.2 Credentials and Qualifications
Coaches represent and warrant that:
- All credentials, certifications, and qualifications listed on their profile are accurate and current
- They hold any licenses or certifications required by their jurisdiction to provide the services they offer
- They will promptly update their profile if any credentials expire, are revoked, or change
The Parenting Passport does not verify Coach credentials. We provide a platform for Coaches to represent themselves. It is the responsibility of Parents to verify credentials and make informed decisions about engaging a Coach.
4.3 Coach Profile Content
Coaches retain ownership of the content they submit for their profiles. By creating a profile on the Platform, Coaches grant The Parenting Passport a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote their profile content on and in connection with the Platform.
4.4 Professional Standards
Coaches agree to:
- Interact with Parents professionally and respectfully
- Not make misleading claims about their services or qualifications
- Not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
- Not use the Platform to promote services that are illegal in their jurisdiction
- Respond to Parent inquiries in a timely and professional manner
5. Parent-Specific Terms
5.1 Informed Decision-Making
Parents are responsible for:
- Evaluating Coaches and their qualifications before engaging their services
- Independently verifying any Coach credentials, certifications, or claims
- Making their own informed decisions about which Coach to work with
- Understanding that coaching is not a substitute for therapy, medical treatment, or professional mental health services
5.2 Inquiry Conduct
When contacting Coaches through the Platform, Parents agree to:
- Provide accurate information about themselves and their needs
- Communicate respectfully and professionally
- Not send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or abusive content
- Not misuse the inquiry system for purposes unrelated to seeking coaching services
6. Coaching Is Not Therapy
Parenting coaching, as facilitated through this Platform, is an educational and personal development service. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, or any form of mental health treatment. Coaches listed on The Parenting Passport are not acting as licensed therapists or medical professionals unless separately and independently licensed and stated on their profile.
Coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions, developmental disorders, or medical issues. If you or your child are experiencing a mental health crisis, domestic violence, or any situation requiring urgent professional intervention, please contact a licensed mental health professional or your local emergency services immediately.
By using this Platform to connect with a Coach, you acknowledge that the coaching relationship is separate from any therapeutic or clinical relationship, and that The Parenting Passport bears no responsibility for distinguishing between the two.
7. Coaching Outcomes
Results from parenting coaching vary based on individual circumstances, effort, family dynamics, and many factors outside the control of any Coach or this Platform. The Parenting Passport makes no guarantees regarding the effectiveness, outcomes, or results of any coaching services discovered through this Platform.
Any testimonials, case studies, success metrics, or peer recommendations displayed on the Platform reflect individual experiences and should not be interpreted as guarantees of similar results. Each family's situation is unique.
Coaches are prohibited from making guaranteed outcome claims on the Platform (see our Content Policy), but The Parenting Passport cannot monitor all Coach communications that occur outside the Platform.
8. User-Generated Content
8.1 Content You Submit

- The content is accurate and not misleading
- The content does not violate any law or infringe any third-party rights
- The content does not contain malicious code, spam, or harmful material
8.2 Content License
By submitting User Content, you grant The Parenting Passport a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.
8.3 Content Moderation
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, edit, or remove any User Content that we believe violates these Terms, is inappropriate, or is harmful to the Platform or its users. We may do so without prior notice.
9. Peer Recommendations

Coaches may recommend other Coaches on the Platform. Recommendations are voluntary and reflect the personal opinion of the recommending Coach.
9.2 No Endorsement
Peer recommendations and associated badges (Peer backed, Peer endorsed, and Peer trusted at 1, 3, and 5+ peer recommendations) reflect counts of peer recommendations received. They do not constitute an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of quality by The Parenting Passport. Recommendation badges indicate peer recognition only and should not be interpreted as platform verification, professional accreditation, or a guarantee of coaching quality or suitability for your needs.

15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to: Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law.

17. International Use
The Parenting Passport is an international platform serving Coaches and Parents across multiple countries and jurisdictions. By using the Platform, you acknowledge the following:
17.1 Coach Jurisdictional Compliance
Coaches are responsible for compliance with all laws applicable in their own jurisdiction, including but not limited to professional licensing, consumer protection, data privacy, and tax obligations. The Parenting Passport does not warrant that any Coach's services comply with the laws of the Parent's jurisdiction.
17.2 Varying Regulatory Standards
The regulation of coaching services varies significantly by country and region. Some jurisdictions regulate coaching as a professional service; others do not. Parents are encouraged to verify whether a Coach meets any regulatory requirements applicable in their own jurisdiction before engaging their services.
17.3 Cross-Border Interactions
The Platform may connect Coaches and Parents in different countries. The Parenting Passport does not guarantee that coaching services arranged through cross-border connections will comply with the laws of either party's jurisdiction. Both Coaches and Parents are responsible for understanding and complying with any laws applicable to cross-border professional services.
